How hardwiring your Dash Cam could benefit you
Not only does hardwiring a dash cam to your vehicle look much better as there is no wires hanging down or in sight. This also leaves your 12V socket free for charging your phone, as a cigarette lighter or to power other devices like a sat nav.
Dash cams can be limited with battery life, meaning a regular dash cam plugged into the 12V socket will often just cut out once the car is stopped or will stop running a short time after.
However this is not the case when hard wiring, this will allow you constant recording overnight or while your car is parked.
Meaning if someone damages your vehicle while you are not around you can see who done it.
What does it mean to hardwire fit a Dash cam?
The Dash Cam is wired directly to the vehicles battery instead of the 12V socket. This means it will have a continuos power flow and even keep recording when the vehicle has stopped and parked up.
How long does this take to fit?
It usually just takes around half an hour for our engineers to install a Dash cam and installing a rear facing dash cam aswell may take a further 15-30 minutes.
How much will it cost?
We charge £30 for a our hardwire installation service and £50 for both front and rear fitting.
