In 1959, the beloved 1800 watch family was introduced. The 1803 is the most well-known of all these watches. The original Calibre 1505 was fitted to these watches. It was replaced by the Calibre 1506 in the middle of the 1960s, which had a higher vibrational speed. According to Rolex mythology in 1959, six steel 6611 watches were produced. Other steel models exist, but this small number of 1959 Day-Dates is the most precious. It's not clear if these watches were made commercially or were prototype watches that were used internally before making their way onto the market.Replica Breitling Watches
Although I tend to believe the former, there isn't a definitive answer. The Day-Date added a concealed clasp to its distinctive bracelet in 1969. It is now known as the President bracelet.

Seventies Strides
The 1970s were a time of great technical progress for the Day-Date. The Day-Date Calibre 1556 was equipped with a hacking function in 1972. This allowed the seconds hand to stop when the crown was removed. Around this time, the watch also received a sapphire glass. A new Calibre 3055 was added to the Day-Date. The reference numbers for watches increased by an additional digit, 18xxx.
The Calibre 3055's key features were the 4 Hz vibrational frequency for greater autonomy from micro-shocks and the important quickset function to set the date. Before this, you could only adjust the date and days by rotating the hour and minute hands throughout the entire calendar cycle.

The Calibre 5055 was also introduced by Rolex in 1977. This 32 kHz quartz Day Date movement was in-house decorated and jewelled. It was used in the Oysterquartz collection. They were sold up until 2001. I am the proud owner of a yellow gold example with burlwood dial and an exceptional movement. (Rolex even fitted it with a thermal compensator.)

It was a remarkable model that featured a double-quickset for the first-time. The crown could be used to quickly set both date and days of week using the crown. This was independent of hour and minute hands. For models with diamond-set cases, the reference numbers were 182xx and183xx.

In 2000, the reference numbers were expanded to include six digits. Most improvements were made to clasps and bracelets. The Rolex Day Date 36mm remains one of the most beautiful watches in modern horology.Breitling Replica Watches
I love the watches with vividly coloured dials. There are three models: one with a green dial and one with a cognac dial. A white-gold model has a ravishing cherry dial. And a Everose (Rolex’s proprietary rose-gold that does not fade over time).

These watches also have a precedent aesthetic that dates back to 1970s "Stella", dial Day-Dates. These watches were made for the Middle East market. They featured dials in neon green, hot pink, canary, yellow, and turquoise. Stella can also be attributed to American artist Frank Stella. He is well-known for his vibrant primary-colour paintings and Latin word for star, which are a result of the luminescent quality that the dials were made using multi-layered lacquered enamel.
