Why a CB Radio?
My father used to tell me stories of the rascality he was involved in with CB Radios back in the day but besides getting up to badness, pestering truck drivers and interrupting conversations with a load of nonsense, why should you have a CB Radio today?
Back in the 70’s there were minimal methods of communication as there was no mobiles at the time so along came the CB radio allowing people on the road to communicate with each other. To this day many people still use it as it is an easy way to communicate and quite simple to use.
Little less bulky than they used to be.
Advantages:
- You don’t need a licence and its free to use once the parts have been bought
- Communicating from truck to truck if you own a fleet
- If you want to know about the activity on the highways then you can get to know all the information through the CB radio.
- continuous update about what is happening on the highways and then you can plan your journey accordingly
